Overview
The Creek Trails network contains around 15 kilometres of great rolling single track in native forest beside the town of Margaret River. This is one of the premier mountain biking destinations for the Margaret River Region. The trails are well constructed and interesting, with fun features including quality jumps, obstacles to ride over, bridges and fast sweeping downhills. The riding suits all levels of fit cyclists. The loop shown on the map is 15km with an accumulated elevation gain of 600 meters.
The riding is all through beautiful bush land. It is especially pretty in spring with lots of wildflowers. It has a much more “natural” feel than the machine-constructed tracks of Compartment 10 across the road. Not better or worse, just different!
The tracks can be a bit of a maze. There are some signs and markers but it can still be confusing and very easy to get turned around, especially on a cloudy day. Please download the free Margaret River Find the Fun App to get the most pleasure out of the riding area. It has very detailed maps and cycling directions. The maps are annotated with markers that will guide you around the many tracks, ensuring you have the best possible ride. The maps work even when you don’t have internet connection. Combined with your phone’s GPS you simply cannot get get lost. One party of cyclists tells us they would have spent the night in the bush if they didn’t have the App to show them the way out!
