Munda Biddi Trail – Donnybrook to Nannup

Donnybrook, Western Australia, Australia

Website

This 76 km section of the Munda Biddi Cycling Trail starts on the edge of Donnybrook and passes through Jarrahwood and Nannup.

It is a gently undulating route through some beautiful mixed Jarrah forest and small historic towns.

Donnybrook is one of the food bowl regions of WA, with the main crop being apples. It also has thriving timber, beef and dairy industries, and many quality wineries and cideries. The amphitheatre in the middle of town on the Preston River is worth visiting, as are its many historic stone buildings. One of the best times to visit is in October when blossoming apple and cherry trees are everywhere you look!

Jarrahwood is a tiny historic village located between Donnybrook and Nannup and has the Nala Mia hut, which is the only free camping along this section of the track. There is paid accommodation at Donnybrook and Nannup.

Nannup is a quiet, relaxing town with several cafes, pubs and shops located on the beautiful Blackwood River. You can visit the impressive flood tree and the arboretum, and if possible, plan to be there in August when the tulip and daffodil festival is on.

Once in Nannup, consider riding the Old Timberline Loop (see the map and description in the App).
