Overview
The Meelup mountain biking trail network, located in Meelup Regional Park on the edge of Dunsborough, is the best mountain biking area in Dunsborough. In June 2017 a major reconstruction built many berms and jumps. Over its 6.2 km length it is almost all tight and twisting gravel single track. Two descending trail sections feature big berms and jumps – you have potential to get some serious air time! There are many log and rock rollovers to test your skill, with easier bypasses of all the harder obstacles. Brown Street suits intermediate and advanced mountain bikers.
The trail network is packed into an area just a few hundred meters square. You park at the trail head at the intersection of Cape Naturaliste Road and Endicott Loop. Begin by riding up the up-track coloured blue-green on the map.
Please download the free Margaret River Find the Fun App. It has very detailed maps and cycling directions. The maps work even when you don’t have internet connection. Combined with your phone’s GPS you’ll easily be able to navigate the route and never get lost.
There are other tracks in the area to explore. You can connect Meelup and the Dunsborough Country Club trail network to create a longer ride. Full information about the Country Club trails, and how to get across to them, can be found in the free Margaret River Find the Fun App.
The Meelup trails were build by Cape Mountain Bikers. If you’re a local of the Dunsborough area please consider joining the club to support their work and perhaps even help build future mountain biking trails about Dunsborough.
