Overview
Hamelin Bay was the site of a jetty that was used to transport Karri and Jarrah logs for export until a storm destroyed it in 1900. Remnants of that jetty are still visible in the bay. Today, Hamelin is a peaceful holiday destination complete with swimming, fishing, diving or relaxing on a beach that stretches for miles. Large, friendly smooth stingrays and eagle rays regularly approach swimmers and waders near the boat ramp looking for a handout.
The caravan park has on-site accommodation as well as 100 powered and unpowered camping sites. Fees apply for camping. Bookings are essential in peak times.
