Cowaramup Bay

Cowaramup Bay Road, Gracetown, Western Australia, Australia

Cowaramup Bay is a must-see destination for any travelling surfer. On its day, North Point is the premier right-hand reef/point break in Western Australia. It is renowned for its power and hollow barrels over rock ledges. On bigger days of over 3 meters it is definitely for advanced surfers only.

On the other side of the bay, South Point is one of the most popular left-point waves in Western Australia. This wave is for intermediate to advanced surfers and is one of the few waves in the region that is protected from southerly winds. Swell range is from 2 to 3.5 m.

Several smaller waves often break in the center of the bay.

The town of Gracetown at the south end of the Bay hosts a general store and cafe. The bay has an excellent boat ramp and great scenery.
