Overview
A beautiful 2 km long white sand beach. At the northwest end there are rocky areas good for fishing. The bay is sheltered from SW winds and waves.
The car park area has toilets and showers and there is a cafe to grab a coffee at as you head onto the beach. Surf Lifesaving is present on part of the beach over summer.
Bunker Bay is a popular surf spot. The Farm and Boneyards both break when mid- to large-westerly swells wrap around Cape Naturaliste. A south to south-westerly wind will be offshore. Suits beginner to advanced surfers depending on the size of the swell. From the car park walk SE along the beach for 10 minutes to The Farm. Boneyards is 10 minutes further on towards the point.
There is a new and improved boardwalk here for disabled access to the beach. The beach is popular with the Disabled Surfing Association South West, who host a number of disabled surfing activities through the year.
Dogs are allowed on the beach north of the path from the cafe until the rocks begin.
